This shapefile includes information about current Zoning designations for City of Puyallup.
Purpose:
The dataset is to be used by individuals wanting to learn what zoning may affect any given parcel within the City Of Puyallup.
Supplemental_Information:
Procedures_Used    The datasets were originally created from the City Of Puyallup's Official Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use and Zoning Map book.  The book consists of copies of Pierce County's 1994-quarter section maps on which city limits, urban growth area boundary, zoning, zoning overlay, and future land use and future land use overlays are laid. Ordinance numbers/dates for comprehensive plan and zoning changes are also shown. Concomitant agreements made on properties and recorded with the Pierce County Auditor are shown. The datasets for concomitant agreements were created from the City Of Puyallup's Official Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use and Zoning Map book. This source map book is no longer updated. A new Official Zoning and Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map Book was created incorporating this theme.  The new map book is updated and kept current.The ATR's digital tax parcel (shifted) data was used as a background coverage for this theme.  Once a year zoning is merged to a new set of parcels so that any shifted parcels or newly created parcels are picked up.  There are split zoned parcels and parcels that were split due to concomitant agreements covering only a portion of a parcel.  These situation arose because boundary lines have changed due to development or potential development.

The Requestor shall have no remedy by law or equity against the City Of Puyallup in case the data provided is inaccurate, incomplete or otherwise defective in any way. 5. Requester's Warranty Against Commercial Use of Lists. RCW 42.17.260(9) prohibits the release of list of individuals requested for commercial purposes, and Requester expressly represents that no such use of any such list will be made by Requester or its transferee(s) or vender(s). 'Commercial purposes' means contacting or in some way personally affecting the individuals identified on the list with the purpose of facilitating one's commercial activities. 6. Secondary Data Dissemination. Requesters may not secondarily disseminate (give City Of Puyallup data to other entities) without prior written permission from the City Of Puyallup. 7. Project Data. The positional accuracy is parcel based from Pierce County (shifted) parcel data. Tax Parcel data was captured at quarter section points with some GPS and some calculated points. Expect horizontal accuracy to be +/- 10 feet in urban areas, more in rural areas. Users should be aware that even though the scale of digital data may be increased to overlay large scale digital maps, the accuracy of the digital source is not improved by scale enlargement.

Ordering_Instructions:
A Public Records Request form and GIS Digital Data Disclaimer must be completed and returned to the distributor prior to the data being released.  Once done, the data can be emailed or burned to a CD and mailed. Pierce County GIS may process a request for City of Puyallup Zoning if it is part of a larger data set request made of Pierce County by outside sources.  If this were to happen, authorization for release of City data would be granted after the requestor completed and returned a City of Puyallup Public Records Request form and GIS Digital Data Disclaimer to the distributor.
Turnaround: Two weeks from the date of the Public Record Request.
